I Love Architectural Photography

As an architectural photographer based in New York, I’m drawn to the precision, patience, and creativity that architectural photography demands. It’s a craft-focused discipline, and that’s exactly what I love about it. Every detail matters—every line, texture, and reflection becomes part of a carefully constructed visual story. I approach each project not just as someone documenting a space, but as someone designing a photograph.

As an interior photographer in NYC, I get to work with beautiful spaces that are already full of intention. My job is to honor that design while adding my own layer of visual storytelling. Composition is my favorite part of photography, and architectural photography places composition front and center. I love the challenge of aligning elements, shaping light, and finding the perfect balance between form and function. It’s not about snapping quick images—it’s about slowing down, studying a space, and thoughtfully creating something that feels both accurate and expressive.

New York is a perfect place for this kind of work. The city’s architecture is endlessly diverse—from historic brownstones to cutting-edge modern design—and every building has its own personality. There’s always a new space to explore, a new lighting challenge to solve, a new story to tell through imagery.

Architectural photography gives me structure and freedom at the same time. The structure comes from the buildings themselves, and the freedom comes from how I choose to see and frame them. It’s a perfect blend for someone like me who loves design, detail, and the artistry of photography. Whether I’m shooting a sunlit interior or a dramatic facade at dusk, I’m always looking for the composition that makes the space come alive. That’s what keeps me inspired, every time I pick up the camera.
